A manager sees a new time entry start in Toggl Track and wants the right person to know without interrupting the worker or checking another dashboard. Toggl Track provides New Time Entry Started, New Time Entry and New Task as triggers. Those events can start a Mobile Message SMS, create a contact or add a contact to a list through Zapier.

A running time entry could notify a project contact that work has begun. A new task could send a text to an assigned person when a task enters the workspace. New Client and New Project can also create Mobile Message contacts for communication outside the time-tracking record. These are event-based workflows, not a claim that Toggl Track and Mobile Message share or synchronise all records.

The connection is configured through Zapier. Choose the Toggl Track event, map the available person, client or project information and select the Mobile Message action. You can test a single workflow first, then add separate Zaps for the events that matter most to your team’s handovers and customer updates.
