Mobile Message was founded by Lee Gaywood, who previously owned and operated SMS Broadcast, one of Australia's established bulk SMS providers, for many years.
After exiting SMS Broadcast, Lee set out to build a better bulk SMS platform from the ground up. That meant building every layer ourselves, from the gateway that hands your messages to the Australian carrier networks to the app and API you send from, rather than putting a new logo on someone else's service.
Twenty years in the industry also showed what to leave out. There are no pushy sales teams, no complex bundles and no features nobody asked for. The effort goes into what actually matters to Australian businesses, which is reliable delivery at a fair price.

Our own carrier gateway
Messages go from our platform straight into the Australian carrier networks through a gateway we built and run ourselves. We keep multiple carrier connections, so a single connection failure doesn't stop delivery, and every message is tracked through to its delivery receipt.
Built so messages don't go missing
If part of the system goes down, messages wait in a queue and send once it's back, instead of failing. Your data is encrypted, stored on Australian servers in Sydney and backed up every hour.
Checks on every send
Every list is cleaned before it's sent. Numbers are formatted correctly, duplicates are removed and anyone who has opted out is skipped automatically, so you don't pay for messages that shouldn't go. Messages are also reviewed before they reach the networks, which keeps our traffic trusted by the carriers.
Sender ID registration built in
Mobile Message is a certified telco for the ACMA Sender ID Register, and registration is part of the app. Your business details are checked against the Australian Business Register as you apply, and your sender IDs stay in sync with the register automatically.
Integrations we build ourselves
Our integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, Zapier, NationBuilder, Planning Center and more are built and maintained by our own team. They work the same way as the rest of the platform, and our support team can help with them directly.

Our commitment
Becoming a registered provider takes applications, memberships, policies, technical processes and ongoing reporting, and we handle all of it ourselves. Mobile Message Pty Ltd (ABN 56 669 495 916) is a registered Australian telecommunications provider, a proud member of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO), a certified telco for the ACMA Sender ID Register, and connects directly to the Integrated Public Number Database (IPND) for the numbers we issue. We take compliance, privacy and anti-spam obligations seriously, because our reputation depends on it. The rules we operate under are set out on our SMS provider regulations page.
Under the Scams Prevention Framework, all SMS providers in Australia must be registered with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) from 1 September 2026. Mobile Message Pty Ltd is a registered AFCA member, which means messages sent through our platform will carry the SPF trust mark once the technology supports it, and be recognised by carriers as coming from a compliant provider. Any provider that is not registered with AFCA is non-compliant.
