Rocket.Chat SMS Integration
Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with Rocket.Chat!
Through Zapier, Rocket.Chat events such as New Message Posted on a Private Channel, New Message Posted on a Public Channel or Mentioned on Public Channel can start Mobile Message’s Send SMS action. Text an on-call person when a relevant message arrives, or alert a manager when someone is mentioned. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger can also start Rocket.Chat’s Send Direct Message action, giving a team member a way to pass an incoming text into a private conversation.
This creates a practical handoff between customer-facing SMS and team chat. Rocket.Chat remains the place where staff discuss the issue, while Mobile Message sends or receives the text. Each Zap is configured separately in Zapier, with channel selection, recipients, filters and message wording under your control.
Use specific channels and keywords where possible so ordinary chat does not produce unnecessary SMS alerts. The connection does not make Rocket.Chat and Mobile Message a synchronised inbox. It moves the selected event from one side to one action on the other.
