Office managers who keep client scheduling, staff email and shared calendars inside Microsoft Exchange are used to juggling several tabs before a message actually reaches someone's phone. A Zap linking Exchange to Mobile Message lets a calendar event start trigger send an SMS reminder to whoever is booked in, so a meeting or appointment isn't only sitting in a calendar nobody checked that morning.

The same connection works the other way around too, once Mobile Message picks up a reply. A new contact added in Exchange can be copied into Mobile Message as its own contact, and an email flagged for follow up can prompt a text to the teammate who owns it, cutting down on flagged messages that get left for days.

On the way in, an inbound SMS reply can be set to land as a new email in an Exchange inbox, giving a paper trail for a conversation that started as a text. None of this rewires Exchange or Mobile Message directly, each pairing is its own Zap running through Zapier, but together they mean fewer manual notes between a calendar full of dates and a phone actually ringing.
