Crew managers often need to know about leave, new starters, projects and expenses while work is happening across several sites. CrewTraka provides events for those records, and Mobile Message can turn the most important ones into direct text alerts. This helps a distributed team notice a new request or operational change without waiting for someone to check the system.

Use New Leave with Send SMS to notify a manager when a leave request is created. New Employee can trigger Create Contact so a new crew member is available in Mobile Message, while New Project can send an update to a project list. New Expense and New Timecard can also alert the relevant group when those records need review.

The connection runs through Zapier and each workflow is one-directional. Mobile Message does not automatically update CrewTraka records, and CrewTraka actions should be used only when an inbound text genuinely contains the information needed to create the corresponding record. Map names, numbers and references carefully, add filters where necessary and test before turning the Zaps on.
