A visitor signs in at reception while the host is away from their desk. The front desk needs a reliable way to alert the right staff member, and the visitor should not be left waiting. VisitUs Reception records Visitor Sign in Detected and Visitor Sign Out Detected events, with actions for signing in a host or visitor.

Through Zapier, a new visitor sign-in can trigger Mobile Message Send SMS to a host or staff member. Include the visitor’s name and reception details in the text, so the host knows who has arrived. You can also create a Mobile Message contact for a visitor when a suitable record is available, or send a follow-up message after a sign-out event.

VisitUs actions such as Sign in Host via Mobile and Pre-Register a Visitor are useful inside VisitUs, but the available Mobile Message triggers do not make every reverse pairing sensible. This connection is best used for reception alerts and contact handling. It does not replace the VisitUs sign-in record or provide a two-way visitor database.
