You're scrolling through a customer's account page and need to text them straight away, not later once you're back at your desk. The Zapier Chrome extension turns any page you're viewing into the start of a workflow, capturing the page title, the URL and a timestamp the moment you trigger a push from your browser toolbar.

Paired with Mobile Message through Zapier, that push can send an SMS straight from whatever tab you're on. A support agent looking at an open ticket can fire a push that texts the customer an update, or a salesperson browsing a lead's page can send a quick text without switching windows. The same setup works the other way. When a customer replies to that text, Mobile Message's Inbound SMS Received trigger can send the reply back to Chrome, so the response shows up in the extension itself rather than in a separate messaging app.

For a small team juggling several tools in the browser already, adding a text message to that workflow saves the trip to another tab. The whole connection runs through Zapier, so there's nothing new to install beyond the extension and a Zap.
