Uku SMS Integration

Accounting practices often have several client records to organise while deadlines and client communication continue. Uku gives firms events such as New Client and New Contact, so a Zapier workflow can turn those events into Mobile Message contacts or timely SMS. This reduces the need to re-enter a mobile number when a new relationship is saved.

New Client can send a welcome message and create a contact in Mobile Message. New Contact can send a message to confirm the next step or add the person to a suitable list. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger can also start Uku’s Create Contact or Update Contact action, giving a text message a defined place in the practice system.

Uku remains the accounting practice management system for clients and contacts. Mobile Message handles SMS, and Zapier passes selected information between them. The connection is configured around the specific event and action you select, rather than presenting a general two-way sync.

You can decide whether the first text is an onboarding note, a reminder or a request for a suitable response. Keep the content plain and limited to the details your workflow supplies.
