Teams that run their daily work in SmartTask often create tasks, assign responsibilities and close work across many projects. A completed task can be an important customer milestone, but it may remain visible only to people checking the project. A new contact can also require a prompt before the next conversation is forgotten.

Through Zapier, SmartTask can send New Task in Project or On Task Completion to Mobile Message. Send SMS can notify a customer that a job step has been completed, while Create Contact can record a person when SmartTask’s New Contact event arrives. A completed task can also trigger Add Contact to List when the contact details and list purpose are clear.

SmartTask remains the work management system for projects, contacts and tasks. Mobile Message sends the SMS or manages the contact action selected in the Zap. This connection does not synchronise tasks, and it does not create SmartTask tasks from a reply unless the available action is chosen in another workflow. It simply gives teams a direct communication step after work changes.
