A trade team is waiting for materials, and a purchase order status changes while the crew is preparing for the next job. Someone may need to know immediately, but checking Ply repeatedly is an easy task to postpone. A Zap can use Ply purchase order and inventory events to start Mobile Message actions through Zapier, reducing the manual chase around stock and procurement.

Purchase Order Created can trigger Send SMS to notify a buyer or supervisor that an order needs review. Purchase Order Status Changed can send a message when an order reaches a relevant stage, while Quantity Updated can alert a responsible person when material levels change at a location. Material Created can also run Create Contact only where the event contains a person’s contact details, although SMS alerts are usually the more direct result.

This connection helps teams turn selected Ply events into clear notifications. It does not maintain a complete inventory copy in Mobile Message or make changes in both directions. Choose the Ply event that matters, map the intended recipient and create a message that gives the team enough context to act.
