The most useful event Pleo can send is often a new expense, because an approver may need to review spending while the details are fresh. A new employee can also require prompt attention from the person managing cards or company spending. If those events stay inside Pleo, the right colleague may not see them until much later.

With Zapier, Pleo can start a Mobile Message SMS when a new employee is created or a new expense is added. The text can identify the employee, expense or relevant amount using the fields available in the Zap, giving a finance lead a direct prompt to open Pleo and check the record. A new receipt can also create a notification when receipt activity matters to your process.

This connection is useful for teams that want selected Pleo events brought into their existing SMS alerts. It does not approve expenses, retrieve a receipt through text or keep employee records matched between systems. Each Zap simply reacts to a chosen Pleo event and performs the selected Mobile Message action, leaving Pleo as the place for expense and employee management.
