Operators who collect contacts through digital business cards often need a quick way to acknowledge a new connection. Ovolu can start a Zap when a Contact Created or Contact Updated event occurs, and Mobile Message can then send a text to the person. That means a welcome note or follow-up can go out without someone checking the contact list after every networking exchange.

A new Ovolu contact can trigger Send SMS, while a changed contact can trigger Update Contact in Mobile Message when the relevant details should be recorded there. You can also create a Mobile Message contact from a new Ovolu contact using Create Contact. These are separate one-way workflows, rather than a live two-way contact sync.

The connection is configured through Zapier. Both Ovolu and Mobile Message accounts are needed, and you should confirm that each contact has a usable mobile number and appropriate consent before enabling customer messages.
