A department manager may be waiting for a process item to move while staff continue working across NileDesk boards and process flows. When a Board Integration Task Executes or a Process Flow Integration Task Executes, NileDesk can start a Zap that sends a Mobile Message SMS to the person who needs to act. That removes the need to monitor every workflow manually.

Mobile Message can send an SMS, send an SMS to a list, create a contact or add a contact to a list after either NileDesk event. A board task could alert an operations lead, while a process flow task could notify a shared team list about a new stage or exception. NileDesk also offers actions for initiating new board and process flow items. This allows an inbound SMS received by Mobile Message to create a new board item or process item when that is a sensible part of the workflow.

The connection is configured in Zapier with one trigger and one action per Zap. It does not create a native two-way update between NileDesk and Mobile Message. Use the available task fields to make each alert specific, then keep the full workflow record in NileDesk where staff can review it.
