A reminder is created in NewTwos and the person responsible should not have to rely on opening the app at exactly the right time. Through Zapier, NewTwos can pass that New Reminder event to Mobile Message, where an SMS can make the task visible on a phone. A completed thing can also trigger a message to confirm that work is finished.

New List and New Thing provide additional starting points for simple notifications. You might text a coordinator when a new list is created, or create a Mobile Message contact when a relevant thing is added. Mobile Message can send an SMS, send to a list or create and update contacts, while NewTwos remains the place for notes, to-dos, links and reminders. The workflow is one-directional and configured in Zapier, rather than a native two-way integration. Keep the SMS focused on the reminder title, timing and any action the recipient needs to take. That makes NewTwos activity useful even when the recipient is away from the app.
