A trainer glances at the calendar and sees a class starting in twenty minutes, or an event gets moved to a different afternoon and every booked attendee needs to know before they turn up at the wrong time. Google Calendar tracks all of this, a new event being added, an event start approaching, an event getting cancelled or updated, but none of it reaches a phone on its own. Linked to Mobile Message through Zapier, each of those calendar moments can trigger a text to the people who need to see it.

The same link works in the other direction too. A reply to one of those texts can create a new event on the calendar automatically, useful when a customer texts back to confirm a time and the booking needs to appear on the calendar without anyone typing it in by hand. Between reminders going out before an event starts and replies turning into new calendar entries, the phone number becomes another way for events to get created and for people to be told about them without extra admin.
