Operators who collect contacts through a digital business card often need to follow up while the exchange is still fresh. CARTLY records a New Contact Exchange event whenever someone submits their details through your card. That event can become a prompt SMS, rather than another contact waiting in a list for someone to notice it.

Through Zapier, New Contact Exchange can trigger Mobile Message's Create Contact action, so the submitted person is available for later SMS work. It can also trigger Send SMS when you want to acknowledge the exchange or provide a next step. Add Contact to List is useful when new exchanges should be grouped for a particular follow-up campaign. The workflow passes selected fields between the services and does not imply two-way syncing.

Use the phone number and other available CARTLY fields carefully, with permission for the text you plan to send. Mobile Message handles the contact record, list membership or SMS. CARTLY remains the place where the digital card and contact exchange are managed.
