A prospective student joins your CampusThreads community during a busy recruitment period, and the next step may depend on someone noticing that new contact quickly. CampusThreads’ New Prospect trigger can start a Zap that sends a plain text SMS through Mobile Message, giving a recruitment staff member a timely prompt to follow up. The message can include the prospect’s name, mobile number and selected community details.

This is useful for teams working across a website widget, a Discord community or a recruitment intake. A new prospect can create a Mobile Message contact, then be added to a list for a course, campus or intake group. Mobile Message’s Send SMS, Create Contact and Add Contact to List actions provide visible outcomes without asking staff to re-enter the same details in another system.

The workflow is built in Zapier, with CampusThreads supplying the prospect event and Mobile Message carrying out the selected action. It does not make the platforms sync all prospect records or send updates back to CampusThreads. Instead, you can choose the recruitment moments that need an immediate text and organise the resulting contacts for later communication.
