A sales operator can create a promising lead in BaseCRM, then lose valuable time copying the number into a separate messaging tool. BaseCRM can send New Lead or Lead Stage Changed events to Zapier, which can ask Mobile Message to send a plain text SMS or create a contact for future outreach.

A new lead message can confirm that someone will make contact, while a stage change can prompt a tailored update for a prospect. Lead Owner Changed can also send an internal notification if the workflow is configured with the right destination. When a new lead arrives, Mobile Message Create Contact gives staff a record they can inspect before sending later messages. These actions are selected individually, so the workflow matches the sales process rather than claiming a live CRM sync.

BaseCRM also includes a Create Lead action. It can be started by an inbound SMS when a customer’s text contains suitable lead information, although the most common setup is BaseCRM into Mobile Message. Zapier handles the field mapping without code. Both accounts are needed, and each Zap performs one configured action when its trigger fires.
