Product teams that use Appcues can turn important in-app behaviour into timely plain text messages with Mobile Message. When a user submits a form, completes a Web Flow or enters a segment, a Zap can send an SMS to a mapped recipient. This is useful when a customer needs a follow-up from a team member, or when an internal owner should know that a user has completed a key step.

Appcues also exposes NPS Submitted and Checklist Completed, giving teams practical events to use as SMS starting points. A separate workflow can use Mobile Message Inbound SMS Received to trigger Appcues Update User Profile, provided the inbound message supplies information that belongs in the profile fields. These are individual Zaps, not a continuous sync between the products. Keep the SMS short, use only the Appcues data available to the selected event, and consider consent before sending customer-facing messages. Setup takes place through Zapier. Authorise your Appcues and Mobile Message accounts, choose the event, map the recipient and text, test the result, and publish the workflow when it matches your product communication process.
