AntEater is suited to teams that manage prospects, customers, vendors and partners across Gmail, Outlook and Slack. A new contact can otherwise sit unnoticed while a salesperson decides who should follow up and how. Sending a clear SMS at that point can give the right person an immediate prompt or acknowledge that the contact has been received.

New Contact can trigger Mobile Message’s Create Contact action, so a person added through AntEater can be placed into Mobile Message with their available details. It can also trigger Send SMS, allowing a team to text a welcome, a next-step reminder or an internal notification. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received can start AntEater’s Create Message action when an incoming text should be recorded as a message in the AntEater workflow.

Use Zapier to choose the event and map the fields required for the selected action. Messages remain plain text, and the workflow runs in the direction you define. This is useful for teams that want AntEater activity to prompt a practical SMS without suggesting that the two systems maintain a continuous shared record.
