AdvicePay SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with AdvicePay!

Financial planners can lose time chasing clients about agreements, invoices, and recurring fees instead of concentrating on advice. AdvicePay provides events for an agreement being completed, an invoice being paid, a subscription being activated, or a subscription being cancelled. Those events can become timely SMS messages through Mobile Message, so clients receive useful updates without an adviser having to monitor every change manually.

With Zapier, an executed AdvicePay agreement can trigger a welcome text, while an invoice being paid can send a confirmation to the client. A newly activated subscription can prompt a service commencement message, and a cancelled subscription can alert the relevant team or confirm the change to the client. You can also use Mobile Message actions such as Create Contact, Update Contact, and Add Contact to List to keep selected client details available for future messages. The app’s actions, including Create an Invoice and Create a Subscription, can be started by Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger where that workflow is genuinely useful, such as creating a follow-up billing record after a client texts in. The connection runs through Zapier rather than being a native AdvicePay integration, so each Zap handles one event and one selected action.

A Zapier account and subscription is required for this integration.

AdvicePay + SMS: common questions

Can I send an SMS when an AdvicePay invoice is paid?

Yes. AdvicePay’s Invoice Paid trigger can start Mobile Message’s Send SMS action in Zapier. You can personalise the confirmation with available invoice and client fields, then send it to the relevant mobile number.

Can AdvicePay subscription changes trigger client text messages?

Yes. Subscription Activated and Subscription Canceled are available AdvicePay triggers. Each can start a separate Mobile Message SMS, allowing you to welcome a client when billing begins or acknowledge a cancellation.

How do I set up AdvicePay SMS alerts with Mobile Message?

Use Zapier to select an AdvicePay trigger and a Mobile Message action, then map the client and billing fields. No code is required, but you need active AdvicePay and Mobile Message accounts and access to Zapier so you can test and publish the workflow.
