Zonos SMS Integration

Nothing frustrates an international customer more than a parcel held up at the border with an unexpected bill for duties and taxes attached. Store owners spend hours answering messages about surprise fees after the order has already shipped, when a heads up before checkout or straight after payment would have avoided the complaint entirely. Customers rarely blame the courier, and instead blame the store that sold them the item.

Zonos calculates the landed cost of a shipment, working out the duties, taxes and fees for a destination before the parcel leaves the warehouse. Used inside a Zap with Mobile Message, that calculation can feed straight into a text message, so a customer who just paid for an order gets the true total cost by SMS rather than finding out at customs. It turns a number Zonos already works out into a message the customer actually reads, cutting down on the follow up questions that come in after a shipment is stuck in customs.
