A new member joins your Swarm space and may need a quick welcome before they explore the community. Without an automatic message, the person can miss important context while your team is busy supporting other members. Through Zapier, Swarm events can start Mobile Message actions at the right point.

New Member Joined Space can send a welcome SMS, create a contact or add the member to a list. New Course Completion and New Course Lesson Completion can also trigger a message that recognises progress and points the student towards what comes next. New Customer is useful for acknowledging a first purchase or access event. Each Zap uses one Swarm trigger and one Mobile Message action, so you can choose a different message for members, students and customers.

Swarm's other events, including New Reply Received in a Hub and New Post in a Space, can also prompt SMS notifications when that is useful. The connection does not synchronise community records with Mobile Message. It runs through Zapier and uses the fields you map, including a member's mobile number and the text you want to send.
