A new RFQ, purchase order event, invoice event, comment, or sales order can otherwise sit in the platform until someone notices it and decides who needs to be told. Timely messages help keep commercial conversations moving.

Through Zapier, StartProto can trigger Mobile Message actions for these operational events. A new RFQ can send an SMS to the sales team, while a new invoice or sales order can notify a customer contact. A purchase order event can also create a Mobile Message contact or add an existing person to a list for a defined production update process.

These workflows let manufacturing teams choose which events deserve a text and who should receive it. Mobile Message handles the SMS or contact action, while StartProto remains the place for engineering, purchasing, and scheduling work.
