About the Sortlist integration

A message from a prospective client on Sortlist can arrive while your team is handling other work. That manual chase creates a risk that a promising opportunity sits unseen, while applications and exported companies compete for attention. Mobile Message can put a concise alert in front of the right person as soon as Sortlist records the event.

Through Zapier, Sortlist events such as Direct Message Received, Opportunity Received and Opportunity Applied can trigger Mobile Message Send SMS. You can also use Create Contact or Add Contact to List when a company is exported from Radar, giving your team a contact record and a sensible follow-up group. If you want a message to start an application, Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received can trigger Sortlist’s Apply to Opportunity, but that workflow requires the incoming text to contain the opportunity information your Zap is designed to use. These are separate, one-directional automations rather than a two-way integration. Add filters so only suitable opportunities create alerts, and keep the message short enough for a busy service provider to act on quickly.

Sortlist + SMS: common questions

Can Sortlist alert me by SMS when a client sends a message?

Yes. Direct Message Received can trigger Send SMS in Mobile Message through Zapier. Map the relevant Sortlist details into an alert for the person responsible for responding, so the message is visible without relying on a manual platform check.

Can a Sortlist opportunity create a Mobile Message contact?

Yes, when the Sortlist event provides suitable contact information. Radar Company Exported can trigger Create Contact, while Opportunity Received can trigger Send SMS. Use filters to avoid creating records or alerts for opportunities your team does not handle.

How do I connect Sortlist alerts with Mobile Message?

Set up accounts for Sortlist, Mobile Message and Zapier. Choose a Sortlist trigger such as Direct Message Received, select the Mobile Message action, map the fields and test the Zap. The setup is no-code and does not require a native integration.
