A shipment receives a new tracking event, and a customer may be waiting for that update before making their next decision. Operators who use ShipEngine to manage fulfilment often need to notice these events quickly, especially when many orders are moving at once. Through Zapier, ShipEngine can pass a New Tracking Event to Mobile Message for an SMS notification.

A text can tell the customer that their shipment has reached a new tracking stage, using the delivery information available from ShipEngine. Mobile Message can also create a contact or add one to a list when the workflow needs a record for later communication. Delivery Status Updated can provide a separate Mobile Message starting point for workflows that react to SMS delivery results.

This connection keeps the customer informed without requiring staff to watch ShipEngine throughout the day. It does not validate addresses, print labels or create a native two-way link. Zapier simply takes the selected ShipEngine event and runs one Mobile Message action. Check the fields supplied by your ShipEngine account before writing the message.
