Teams that manage purchasing, inventory, and logistics in OpenPO often need to know when a record changes, not hours later after someone reviews a sheet. A new row may represent an order or delivery detail that requires attention. A changed cell may also contain information that needs to reach a supplier or colleague quickly.

Through Zapier, OpenPO events can start Mobile Message SMS workflows. New Row can send a text when a new supply chain record is added, while Update Cell can notify a nominated person when an important value changes. This gives procurement teams, warehouse operators, and logistics coordinators a simple way to turn selected workspace activity into visible mobile alerts without asking staff to monitor every sheet.

OpenPO also provides Create Row as an action. An Inbound SMS Received event from Mobile Message can therefore create a new row containing the sender and message, giving someone a record to review in the workspace. Each Zap has one starting event and one outcome. It is not a two-way sync, and you can choose which rows, fields, or messages should be passed through Zapier.
