A customer texts back with a question and the reply sits in an inbox while the person meant to see it is in back to back meetings, so the follow up never gets scheduled and the conversation goes cold. Motion is built to stop exactly that kind of task falling through, but only if something puts the task there in the first place. Zapier connects Mobile Message to Motion so an inbound reply creates that task automatically.

When a customer sends an inbound text, Mobile Message can create a task in Motion straight away, complete with enough detail for whoever picks it up to know what the reply was about. Motion then does what it already does well, fitting the task into the day around existing meetings and deadlines instead of leaving it as an unread message.

Delivery problems get the same treatment. If a message fails to reach someone, the delivery status update from Mobile Message can update the matching task in Motion, so a failed text does not sit unnoticed next to tasks that already went out. A new project in Motion still starts the normal way, but the tasks that depend on a customer reply or a delivery result no longer rely on someone remembering to add them by hand.
