L2S SMS Integration

A long tracking link or a UTM-heavy web address can eat up half the character count of a text message before you have even said anything useful, and a shortened link that nobody trusts because it looks like spam does not help either. Businesses that text order updates, invoice reminders or booking confirmations run into this constantly, since the link is usually the one thing the customer actually needs to click.

L2S's Create Shortened URL action solves this in the middle of a Zap, turning a long address into a short one, adding a custom key or tags if needed, and tracking every click, before Mobile Message sends the message on. Instead of pasting a raw link straight into a text and hoping it fits, the Zap shortens it first, so the SMS stays under the character limit and you can see afterwards how many people actually opened it.

Connected through Zapier, this pairing works well when a paid order comes through in Shopify and the customer needs a shortened tracking link by text, when an invoice goes overdue in Xero and a payment link needs to travel in a single SMS, or when someone books through Calendly and gets a shortened confirmation link straight after. In each case L2S does the shortening and Mobile Message sends the text.
