About the Inventory Shield integration

Operations teams using Inventory Shield can notify people when a new location is added to their equipment records. Locations or Location Types can start a Zapier workflow with Mobile Message, creating a clear SMS alert for a coordinator or other recipient without requiring someone to watch the inventory application for every change.

A new location can send a message with the site name or location details supplied by Inventory Shield. A new location type can alert the person responsible for reviewing how equipment is grouped. Mobile Message can also create a contact from an inbound SMS, although that is useful only when a text contains the information your Inventory Shield process needs to record.

This connection is set up through Zapier and needs Inventory Shield and Mobile Message accounts. It is not a native two-way integration. Inventory Shield events start workflows, while Mobile Message carries out the chosen action. The available image action in Inventory Shield is not treated as an SMS attachment workflow, because Mobile Message sends plain text messages.
