Operators who run an online shop on ikas often need to act as soon as an order or customer record appears. With Zapier connecting ikas to Mobile Message, a New Order event can send a confirmation or delivery update by SMS, while New Customer can create a contact or add a subscriber to an SMS list. The message reaches the customer without requiring someone to watch the shop admin screen.

New Product and Updated Order can also start useful alerts for staff. For example, an updated order can notify a fulfilment team, while a new product can text a selected internal list about a launch. Mobile Message supports sending SMS, sending to a list, creating contacts and updating contacts, so you can choose a result based on the information available in the ikas event.

The connection runs through Zapier as individual one-way workflows. It is not a live two-way connection between ikas and Mobile Message. Select an ikas trigger, map the order or customer fields and choose the Mobile Message action. Both accounts stay separate while Zap carries out the notification or contact task you configure.
