A customer replies to a text expecting a real conversation, not another automated message, and the fastest way to give them that is a face to face call booked on the spot. Google Meet exists to host that conversation, but getting from a text reply to a scheduled call usually means someone stopping what they are doing to type out a calendar invite by hand.

When a customer texts in with a question that needs more than a one line answer, that reply can schedule a Google Meet call with them directly, so the conversation moves from SMS to video without anyone touching a calendar. The same action covers the opposite problem too, a text that fails to deliver can trigger a Google Meet invite as a fallback way of reaching that person.

The customer ends up with a call on their calendar either way, whether the text worked and they wanted to talk further, or it never arrived at all and needed a different channel entirely. Both ends of the automation run on a Zapier connection between the two accounts, with no manual booking in between and nobody watching for a reply that might not come by text at all.
