A reminder gets set in Evernote for a follow up call, or a note gets tagged urgent, and the person who needs to actually make contact is often somewhere else entirely, away from the notebook.

Evernote's New Reminder trigger can start a Zap that sends a text through Mobile Message right when that reminder comes due, so the follow up happens on time instead of after the fact. New Tag Added to Note can do the same, turning a tag like follow-up or urgent into an immediate SMS to the customer concerned. A New Note being created, say one capturing a client's details, can create that person as a contact in Mobile Message so they are ready for future messages.

The result is that whatever gets written down in Evernote during a busy day still turns into contact with the right person at the right time, rather than staying trapped in a notebook until someone reopens it later. Replies matter too, so when a customer texts back through Mobile Message, that reply can create a new note in Evernote, keeping a record of the conversation next to everything else about them. The whole setup runs through Zapier without any code.
