eCardWidget SMS Integration
Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with eCardWidget!
A new team member can trigger a welcome text to an administrator or colleague. A deactivated team member can notify the person responsible for access and directory processes, while an updated team member can flag a real change for review. The eCard Sent via Email trigger can also send a plain text notice with the recipient and timing details available from eCardWidget.
Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger can start eCardWidget’s Create or Update Team Member action when a team member texts your designated number. That can add or update a directory record using the mapped information. These are practical, one-directional Zapier workflows, not an automatic directory sync.
A Zapier account and subscription is required for this integration.

- Deactivated Team Member — Triggers when a directory member is deactivated (e.g. offboarding).
- eCard Sent via Email — Triggers when an eCard is sent by email from your account, with the recipient, sender, message, and timing details.
- New Team Member — Triggers when a person is added to your eCardWidget directory.
- Updated Team Member — Triggers when a directory member is updated (only fires on a real change).

- Create or Update Team Member — Adds a person to your directory or updates them if they already exist. Maps standard fields plus your custom date fields. Only fields you map are changed (others are left untouched).
- Deactivate Team Member — Deactivates a directory member (reversible). They stop receiving automated cards and no longer count toward your seat limit. Use on offboarding/termination.
- Delete Team Member (Permanent) — ⚠️ Permanently deletes a directory member and their data (GDPR erasure). This cannot be undone — for normal offboarding use Deactivate Team Member instead.
- Send eCard — Sends an eCard to a recipient by email, or generates a shareable link. Leave "Send At" blank to send immediately, or set a future date/time to schedule it.

Can eCardWidget text an administrator when a team member is added?
Yes. New Team Member can trigger Mobile Message’s Send SMS action through Zapier. The alert can include the directory information available from eCardWidget and go to a nominated administrator.
Can an SMS create or update an eCardWidget team member?
Yes. Inbound SMS Received can trigger eCardWidget’s Create or Update Team Member action. Map the sender details and message content to the directory fields your team maintains.
How do I connect eCardWidget and Mobile Message?
Set up the selected eCardWidget event or action and Mobile Message step in Zapier, then authorise and test both sides. No code is needed. You will need eCardWidget, Mobile Message and Zapier accounts.
