Disco SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with Disco!

Community managers and course creators using Disco run learning communities where users join programs, complete modules, attend events, and progress through pathways. These milestones matter, and keeping your community engaged depends on timely communication. SMS reaches people on their phones no matter where they are, making it ideal for event reminders, congratulation messages, and next-step notifications.

When users reach key moments in their learning experience, you can send SMS messages to celebrate progress, remind them of upcoming events, or guide them to the next step. If someone joins a new product, completes onboarding, or confirms attendance at an event, you can instantly send a text. Mobile Message connects these Disco events to SMS outreach through Zapier, turning your learning platform into a multi-channel engagement system.

Your community members get timely, personal messages at the exact moments that matter most. Whether someone just signed up, completed a major milestone, or dropped out, you can respond immediately with SMS that keeps people moving forward.

If the group (or subgroup) selected is a product level group, the user will need to be a member of the group or the action will cause an error. This action requires an email or a user ID to be provided, if both are provided then the ID will be preferred over the email.
  • Add User to a Pathway — Add a user to the specified pathway. If the user is already a member they will not be re-added. This adds the user directly to the pathway bypassing registration completely, it is not an invite. If the user is being added to the community for the first time then any automations setup for the "user joined community" trigger will fire. This is not an invitation to the community, the user will need to login via emailed link or via social sign on.
  • Deactivate a User — Deactivates an active user in the community.
  • Fetch a User Profile — Fetch a user profile by user ID or email. User IDs are returned from most triggers and actions. One of User ID or User Email is required otherwise this action will throw an error. If both fields are provided then only the User ID field will be used.
  • Get Login Link for User — Returns a login link for the user with the specified email address. For security reasons, the provided login link will take the user to a page that will automatically send them an automated email with a link to login to Disco.
