When a useful discussion appears in Chatter, the people who need to act may not be looking at the feed. A new topic, a post about a topic or a new post in the feed can start a Zapier workflow that sends a Mobile Message SMS. This gives a team a short alert for selected updates without asking someone to copy the post into a separate message.

Chatter is well suited to internal collaboration, while Mobile Message handles the outward text notification. You can include the topic name, post summary or a direction to review the relevant feed. A new group can also trigger a message when a team needs to know that a working space has been created. Choose filters carefully so important alerts remain useful rather than becoming background noise.

The connection uses Zapier and the available Chatter events. It does not synchronise feeds or create a two-way conversation. The aim is simple, targeted notification from Chatter activity to the people who rely on SMS for timely updates.
