About the CertSeal integration

Training providers, employers and membership organisations can give certificate recipients a useful message at the moment they engage with their credential. CertSeal issues, manages and tracks certificates and digital badges, while Mobile Message can add a direct SMS step through Zapier. This helps your team acknowledge certificate activity without checking the certificate dashboard throughout the day.

Certificate Viewed can trigger a message when a certificate is viewed, such as a reminder to keep the credential available or a note about the next step. Mobile Message can also send an SMS to a recipient after your CertSeal process issues a certificate, although that workflow requires a separate trigger from the systems you use around issuance. The available CertSeal action, Issue Certificate, can be started by an inbound SMS when your process has collected the details needed to issue it. Each workflow is configured separately in Zapier.

Can I send an SMS when a CertSeal certificate is viewed?

Yes. Certificate Viewed can start a Zap, with Send SMS as the Mobile Message action. The message can use the recipient information available in the certificate event and provide a relevant follow-up.

Can an inbound SMS issue a CertSeal certificate?

Yes. Inbound SMS Received can trigger the Zap and Issue Certificate can create the certificate, provided the required certificate details are available from the inbound event or earlier Zap steps.

How do I connect CertSeal certificate events to Mobile Message?

Select CertSeal and Mobile Message in Zapier, choose Certificate Viewed or another suitable step, and map the available fields. The setup needs no code, but both service accounts and a Zapier account are required.
