Photographers and small studios who batch through hundreds of images a week do not want to open each one by hand, and they do not want to sit refreshing a folder to see if a batch job has finished either. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom applies presets, runs auto tone and converts files as part of a bigger workflow, checking job status along the way so nothing gets missed in a batch, whether that batch is a wedding gallery or a set of product shots for a store.

Since SMS only carries plain text, Lightroom's role in a Zap built with Mobile Message through Zapier is to do the editing work earlier in the sequence, applying a preset, running an autotone pass or confirming a conversion job has finished before a text goes out. A studio can use that to have Mobile Message text a client once their edited gallery is ready, or let staff know a batch of product photos has finished converting, without anyone opening Lightroom just to check on progress.
