A support task is created, updated, or given new progress, and someone may need to know before the next project check-in. 5pm provides triggers for new tasks, updated tasks, new progress, new users, updated users, and user logins. Mobile Message can turn the most useful of those events into SMS alerts, while its inbound SMS trigger can create or update selected 5pm records.

A new support task can send an SMS to the person responsible, and new progress can notify a manager when a task reaches an important point. A new user can also trigger a welcome message or create a contact in Mobile Message. From the other direction, an inbound text to Mobile Message can create a 5pm note or task when the message is the agreed starting point for work. The supplied 5pm actions include Create Note, Create Task, Update Task, Add Task Progress, and Create Project. Each Zap still runs one way from one event to one action. It does not promise a live task synchronisation between 5pm and Mobile Message. Map only the task, user, and mobile fields that the selected step provides, then test the workflow so internal alerts do not become noisy or misdirected.
