A task appears in 5day.io while your team is already managing deadlines, site visits and customer commitments. A Zap can turn that new task into a Mobile Message SMS, giving the right person a prompt without asking someone to copy details into another system. This is useful for urgent work, appointment preparation or internal handovers where a visible text is more likely to be noticed.

5day.io can also receive a task from Mobile Message. When someone sends an inbound SMS, a Zap can use 5day.io’s Create Task action to place the message into the team’s work queue. That creates a clear record for follow-up while keeping the original text available in the workflow. Mobile Message’s Send SMS action covers alerts from new 5day.io tasks, and its Inbound SMS Received trigger supports turning replies into work.

The connection runs through Zapier rather than being a native two-way sync. You choose which new tasks matter, set the recipient or task fields, and decide what information belongs in each message. Delivery Status Updated can also start a Zap, although 5day.io’s available action is best suited to creating a task for review rather than updating an existing task.
