About the Wistia integration
New Visitor Email is useful for notifying a salesperson when a viewer shares an email address. New Viewing Session can alert a team member after a chosen viewing threshold, while Webinars can trigger a reminder or internal notification. If the Wistia event includes a mobile number, a Zap can create a Mobile Message contact or add that person to a list for later communication.
Wistia also provides actions such as Register for Webinar and Create Webinar. These can be started by Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received when the incoming text contains the information needed by the Wistia action, although SMS is plain text only. The connection is made through Zapier and uses individual event-driven workflows, not a native two-way integration.
Choose the Wistia trigger that matches the moment you care about, then map its available fields into Mobile Message. For example, a captured visitor email can alert the right person to follow up, while a new channel episode can notify a distribution team. Test consent, numbers and message wording before sending live texts.

Yes. New Visitor Email can trigger Send SMS in Mobile Message. The message can alert a salesperson that a visitor’s email was captured and include the available Wistia details. A suitable mobile number for the recipient must be supplied or mapped.
Can a Wistia viewing session add someone to a Mobile Message list?
New Viewing Session can run Add Contact to List or Create Contact when the Wistia event contains the necessary contact data. This is useful for selected audience workflows, but the Zap only performs the chosen action when the viewing event occurs.
How do I get a Wistia SMS workflow running?
Connect your Wistia and Mobile Message accounts in Zapier, then choose the Wistia event that should start the workflow. Select a Mobile Message action, map the available fields and test it. Zapier handles the setup without code, with both service accounts required.
