A new visitor, viewing session or captured visitor email can tell a sales or marketing team that someone has shown interest. A new webinar or channel episode can also prompt a practical message when promotion or attendance follow-up matters.

New Visitor Email is useful for notifying a salesperson when a viewer shares an email address. New Viewing Session can alert a team member after a chosen viewing threshold, while Webinars can trigger a reminder or internal notification. If the Wistia event includes a mobile number, a Zap can create a Mobile Message contact or add that person to a list for later communication.

Wistia also provides actions such as Register for Webinar and Create Webinar. These can be started by Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received when the incoming text contains the information needed by the Wistia action, although SMS is plain text only.
