WhatsApp Business SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with WhatsApp Business!

A customer sends a message to your WhatsApp Business number, and your team may want to continue the conversation by SMS when that is the better channel. WhatsApp Business's New Message Received trigger can start Mobile Message's Send SMS action, giving the customer a short text follow-up. Message Status Updated can also notify staff when a WhatsApp message changes state.

The reverse workflow is useful too. Mobile Message's Inbound SMS Received trigger can start WhatsApp Business's Send Template Message or Send Freeform Message action, so an incoming SMS can be answered in the WhatsApp workspace. Freeform messages are subject to WhatsApp's stated 24-hour messaging window, while templates follow WhatsApp's own requirements. Send Media Message is available in WhatsApp Business, but this page only describes text workflows through Mobile Message.

These are separate Zapier automations, not a native two-way conversation sync. Both accounts are required. Test phone formats, message timing and the channel rules before enabling the workflow, especially when a customer may receive contact through both WhatsApp and SMS.
