Identity teams often need to know promptly when a person is created or an important attribute changes in SailPoint. Identity Created and Identity Attribute Changed can start a Zapier workflow that sends a plain-text SMS through Mobile Message. That can alert an authorised administrator to review an identity event, coordinate access work or follow an internal response process.

SailPoint's Saved Search Complete trigger can also notify a responsible team when a subscribed report is ready to process. Accounts Collected for Aggregation may provide another operational milestone for a targeted alert. Mobile Message can Create Contact or Add Contact to List when the available identity information includes a suitable phone number, although teams should apply appropriate internal controls before sending identity-related details by SMS.

SailPoint has actions for Submit Access Request and Upload Account Source File, but an inbound SMS should only be used with a carefully designed process and suitable permissions. The connection runs through Zapier, with no custom code. Map only the fields required for the message, test recipients and review access policies before enabling the Zap.
