A new customer record is added to a NocoDB table, but the person responsible for follow-up may not be checking that table throughout the day. NocoDB’s New or Updated Record trigger can start a Zap that sends an SMS through Mobile Message, giving the team a direct alert when a record needs attention. It can also create a Mobile Message contact for a newly captured person.

Use the record event for a new enquiry, job update or other operational change represented in your table. Mobile Message’s Send SMS action can notify a staff member, while Create Contact can prepare a recipient record using the phone fields held in NocoDB. This connection works through Zapier and remains one-directional for each workflow. It does not synchronise every field or make SMS replies update the NocoDB table.

Because the trigger covers both created and updated records, add filters in Zapier when only a particular status or table change should send a message. That helps keep alerts useful and avoids texting for routine edits.
