Scrubbing a phone number or email address out of a message before forwarding it to a team eats time nobody really has, and a missed one can expose a customer's own details to people who should never see them at all. Moderation API builds a moderation object that flags and hides personal information automatically, even when someone tries to disguise it, so a message can be checked before it goes any further down the chain.

Linked with Mobile Message through Zapier, a new entry in Typeform can be checked by Moderation API before Mobile Message texts the result to a manager, stripping out any phone number or email a respondent typed into a free text field. A new response in Google Forms works the same way, and a new lead from Facebook Lead Ads can be moderated before the team gets a text summary of it, so nobody has to read the raw submission first.

Because the moderation happens before the SMS goes out, a business still gets the readable summary a text was meant to deliver, without the risk of forwarding on a customer's own contact details to someone else in the process.
