Your website can go down between monitoring checks, during an overnight release or while the support team is away from its desks. A status change in Dotcom Monitor is useful only if it reaches the people who can investigate it. A Zapier workflow can turn a Dotcom Monitor alert into an SMS from Mobile Message, putting a clear operational notification on a phone.

New Alert Event is the most direct option for a device that changes to DOWN. Send SMS can notify an on-call person with the monitored device and the event details available to the Zap. New All Clear Event can send a second message when the device returns to UP after being down. Device Status Change can cover either direction when you want one workflow for status movement.

Dotcom Monitor has no listed actions for writing an incident or changing a monitored device through Mobile Message. These workflows therefore send alerts only. They do not create a native two-way connection or imply that Mobile Message changes Dotcom Monitor settings. Zapier carries the selected monitoring data into the SMS step, and you choose the recipients and wording.
