Content teams often publish an update and then rely on someone to remember who needs to hear about it. Contentful can report when an entry is published, updated or newly created. Those events can turn a selected publishing moment into a plain text notification for an editor, stakeholder or distribution list.

Through Zapier, Contentful’s Entry Published trigger can run Mobile Message’s Send SMS or Send SMS to List action. An editor can receive a message when a key entry goes live, or a team list can be notified when published content needs review. A New Entry event can create a Mobile Message contact when the entry contains appropriate contact information, although content records will usually be more useful as message data than as contacts. Contentful also provides actions such as Update Entry, Publish Entry, Create Entry, Publish Asset and Create Asset. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger could run one of those actions only when the incoming text contains the fields Contentful requires, so this is a specialised workflow rather than a general content conversation. The connection is made through Zapier and does not synchronise content.
