An employee record is created in CloudApper while a manager is away from the office. A prompt SMS can tell the right person that the record needs attention, while a Mobile Message contact can preserve the details needed for later communication. CloudApper’s app-builder events make these actions available without manual re-entry.

Use On Record Create to send an SMS when a relevant record is added, or Create New Record in CloudApper when an inbound SMS contains enough information to create a known record. On Record Update can also send a notification when an important record changes. Mobile Message’s Send SMS and Create Contact actions provide practical destinations for CloudApper events. The setup runs through Zapier, with one trigger leading to one action for each Zap. It does not provide a native two-way database sync. Identify the record types you want to expose, map the correct phone field and avoid putting confidential information into plain-text SMS. Test with a sample record before enabling the workflow for staff or customers.
