A repair desk or managed service team may finish a call and still need to send the customer a confirmation, while a new call can create a contact that is not yet in the phone book. CallSwitch One can start a Zap when a voicemail is created, a call is answered, a call ends or a new call is created.

Through Zapier, those events can run Mobile Message’s Send SMS, Create Contact or Update Contact actions. A call-ended event could send a follow-up text, while a new call could create the caller in Mobile Message for later messaging. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger can also run CallSwitch One’s Call Phone Number action, creating a callback workflow for a text received by the SMS platform.

The result is a set of focused hand-offs rather than a two-way contact sync. Use the phone number and call fields supplied by CallSwitch One, select the event that matters and write the SMS or callback behaviour in Zapier. Test routing carefully, particularly when an inbound text could create a call.
