Contact Unsubscribed is a clear signal that someone has withdrawn from a newsletter, while New Contact can mark a new person entering the email service. Those events can prompt a mobile notification or a change in Mobile Message records.

Through Zapier, Breaker can trigger Mobile Message’s Send SMS, Create Contact, Add Contact to List or Add Unsubscribe actions. A Breaker unsubscribe event can add the same number to a Mobile Message unsubscribe list, helping staff handle preferences consistently. A new Breaker contact can be created in Mobile Message or added to an SMS list. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received event can also trigger Breaker’s Unsubscribe Contact action when a person texts a clear opt-out instruction.

This setup uses defined Zaps rather than a native integration or a complete two-way contact sync. Test your opt-out wording and number mapping carefully, then keep the workflows limited to the events your email and SMS processes genuinely need.
